BIODIESEL – B99, B20…or Your Preferred Blend
Biodiesel is ASTM D6751 grade and is registered with the US EPA as a fuel and a fuel additive under Section 211(b) of the Clean Air Act. The fuel is renewable, non-toxic, and biodegradable. It is recommended to reduce the economic and environmental impact of transportation while reducing our dependency on foreign oil.
We use local feedstock, primarily used cooking oil that is collected from restaurants and companies that strive to reduce carbon emissions. The fuel promotes sustainability and localization for San Diego and more directly reduces the carbon footprints of companies who “Join The Movement!”
This biofuel can be “blended”, or mixed, with petroleum-based diesel fuel. Blends are designated as BXX, where XX represents the volume percentage of biodiesel fuel in the blend. Our biodiesel is available for bulk sale primarily in a B99 blend. However, we can offer various blends such as B5, B20 and B50 in some cases. Remember, even running 5% biodiesel will help reduce emissions and is usually better for your engine! The higher the “B” number, the more biodiesel in the blend … which translates in to a friendlier fuel.”
WARNING: Please check your vehicle’s warranty for the recommended maximum blend as defined by the manufacturer. Using blends higher may be possibly without any problems. However, the user must assume all liability if using biodiesel blends that exceed the limits stated by the manufacturer. Buster Biofuels will not assume any risk in such cases..
