Here at Lisko’s life seems to have taken a step back to the era of local quality service, in contrast to today’s impersonal and overly stocked supermarkets. And after many years of making a name for himself in the local farmer’s market community, Kosta Houdalakis has proudly made his recently opened store front just like the local markets here in San Diego. We are always carrying seasonal veggies and fruit from local farms with sustainable practices to ensure that we as a local business help to keep other locally owned farms and companies in business for generations to come.
Our belief is that if you offer someone food that is of higher quality than the frozen fish or veggies of a supermarket, freshly made to order with the personal touch of each cook combined with customer service that reaches far beyond the impersonal ‘paper or plastic’ greeting of a cashier, they will ultimately begin to realize that better food is not just for special occasions. With catering and takeout available we make the process of enjoying good food easy for those of us who have neither the time or skills for cooking gourmet meals every night. But we also are more than happy to give suggestions and tips of how to cook different veggies and pastas, what pairs well with the fish that you’re buying, and how long and at what temperature to cook it.
